NEW PAPER IS OUT

May, 2023

The paper were we demonstrate that treatment with MSCs may have unwanted proinflammatory effect in metabolic OA. Here we also show that for this type of OA, MSC-derived EVs might potentially be a better therapeutic option.
This work was a great collaborative effort with the labs of Harrie Weinans and Niels Eijkelkamp. Thank you all for your efforts and congratulations to the first author Kelly Warmink!

KEYSTONE 2023 CONFERENCE ON ORGANOIDS AS MODELS OF DEVELOPMENT AND DISEASE

February, 2023

Magdalena gave a talk on the new co-culture model of MSC and intestinal organoids we have recently generated. Using this model it is possible to study the molecular mechanism of MSC-mediated regeneration of intestinal epithelium after chemotherapy-mediated damage.

NEW PAPER PUBLISHED

January, 2023

This review is a result of a fruitful collaboration with Tina Vermonden and Olivier de Jong labs. We discuss the current status and the future perspective on the use of MSC-derived extracellular vesicles as a therapeutic in cartilage regeneration.
Congratulations to the talented first author Sanne van de Looij!
