DORIAN HAS GRADUATED!

On 28th of September Dorian Luijkx has received his Master of Science diploma. Magdalena has written the laudatory speech for this occasion, which was read by Dorian's study coordinator.  Congratulations Dorian! Good luck with your PhD endeavour in Maastricht!

Magdalena visited the Polytechnic University of Marche in Ancona, Italy, to give a seminar on our recent finding regarding the role of MSC and their secretome in tissue repair.

Suzy joined the lab to work on the molecular mechanism underlying the anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties of MSC-derived extracellular vesicles in cartilage repair.

VISIT PROF. EDIT BUZAS

January 2019

Professor Edit Buzas from Semmelweis University, Budapest has visited the lab. She gave an overview of her work on the extracellular vesicles within the regenerative medicine seminar series. Prof. Buzas also gave an interactive masterclass on recent developments in EV field.

VISIT IN BELGRADE

December 2018

Magdalena has visited Belgrade to present our recent data on role of MSC-EV in cartilage regeneration on the Fifth Symposium of regenerative medicine “Stem cells – a vision beyond   borders”, Belgrade, Serbia.

GRANT AWARDED

November 2018

Magdalena was awarded grant from Dutch Arthritis Foundation to study the molecular mechanism of how MSC-EVs regulate  cartilage regeneration.

RALUCA TUTUIANU VISITED THE LAB

August 2018

Raluca Tutuianu from the Laboratory of Mesenchymal Stromal Progenitor Cells Therapy at "Nicolae Simionescu" Institute of Cellular Biology and Pathology in Bucharest visited the lab to learn everything about MSC-derived EVs. We look forward to future collaboration.

Magdalena in collaboration with Dr. Lucienne Vonk from Department of Orthopaedics was awarded Translationeel Adult Stamcelonderzoek (TAS) Game changer grant from ZonMW for continuation of the work on the role of MSC-EVs in cartilage regeneration.
